Farmfest 2021 - August 12-15
The Cows are Coming home Farmfest!
The last will be the best folks. The line up will be announced as soon as I get final confirmation from all the bands. I can tell you this, moochoe muchoe love is about to explode in the sounds of about every instrument you can think of. All day and all night for four straight days. I am exhilarated and exhausted just thinking about it. So much fun!
We are keeping it small and safe. All the protocols from last year’s plan will be in place. Temps and contact info will be requested at the gate. Expect respectfulness and kindness. We hope you will give the same to all you see. We will have some fun with it too…distancing games, fun no hugging stickers etc. There will be sanitation stations set up along your paths. Please use them. You may distance at your own comfort level. The only thing that will cause us to cancel again would be mandates from our government officials. Other than that, if bands cancel and sound and lights cancel and volunteers cancel and vendors cancel….we will wing it and make some Farmfest magic. It’s on folks. And it will be a doozy.
This will be an emotional one for many. Many of us will be honored at the memorial area this year on Sunday afternoon. The families of those we lost are welcome to choose and maintain the spot and are welcome, for as long as I own the farm, night or day, every day to visit the site. Also being the last Farmfest, this year will be hard for some. We are attached to these trees, the magic of this land and the music. For many, Farmfest is a family tradition started by their parents or grandparents and now where they bring their children.
The future is bright, however. We are making plans for 2022 which include small Musical Farm to Table themed events where participants literally have hands on involvement with getting food from the fields to the tables. Where their favorite bands play throughout the weekend and end with a Sunday brunch they won’t soon forget. On the off weekends and weekdays the farm will be reserved for camping enthusiasts that want to camp on private lands close to the many lakes, forests and special events of the area. AND….as always you are most welcome to come camp for the summer in exchange for helping in the gardens.

June: 4-6 Planting Weekend
Each spring, the greenhouse is fills up with amazing plants promising great organic food choices for us at Farmfest. Come help us plant the gardens, and earn a weekend pass to Farmfest. Bring a dish to pass, your camping gear and instruments for campfire jamming.
June 25-27: Get ‘er Done Vounteer Work Weekend
Preparing the farm for Farmfest is always a very rewarding experience. This is the time we can get creative. What is it that you would like to see added to the land? Let us know and help manifest it.
Of course there are the usual annual items that need to be done: Cow barrels, butt cans, prepping the stages and clearing the trails. Weed whacking and mowing. Organizing the kitchen. Etc etc etc.
Bring camping gear, food to share, instruments and a festive heart. It’s a great time to Git ‘er Done and together it is easy to do just that! AND of course you receive your Farmfest weekend pass before you go home. Main stage music Saturday night with the Pondhoppers.
